Diabetes funding continues to add benefit
The Diabetes Care Improvement Package (DCIP) is appreciated by general practice as a flexible support for caring for patients with diabetes in Canterbury, a recent report shows. DCIP was introduced in 2012 to support general practice to improve systematic diabetes care for people in Canterbury, with an emphasis on high needs/high risk patients. The funding recognises that general practice is in the best position to determine the best type of care for their diabetic patients.
