The role of the Leadership Team is to establish CCN’s overarching objectives and areas of focus.

Guided by an independent Chairperson, the Leadership Team is made up of clinical leaders, consumers, community leaders, health managers and experts from across the Canterbury health system and beyond.

This range of skill and experience is needed in order to achieve joint decision-making in the boardroom and lead initiatives outside of the boardroom.

The Leadership Team maintains oversight of CCN activity – providing direction through the work planning process and monitoring activity through quarterly reports. Members can request updates on specific pieces of work from any of the groups or the programme team.

The team normally meets monthly and is governed by a Charter of Principles.

The final meeting of the CCN Leadership Team is scheduled for Monday 17 June 2024.
