CCN Personnel and Structural update

As part of CCN ensuring resources and effort remains focussed on transformational change, we’ve made some changes to our groups.

We’ve seen the work of the Falls and Fractures Service Level Alliance (F&FSLA) and Oxford and Surrounding Areas Health Service Development Group (OSHSDG) transitioned to other groups.

The F&FSLA was established in October 2017 as a time-limited (three year) group to enhance and improve the falls and fragility fracture prevention work in Canterbury. Having implemented a comprehensive across system approach to falls prevention the Community Services SLA and Health of Older People Work Stream will now provide ongoing leadership to falls and fractures activity as part of ongoing quality improvement.

Future enhancements for health services in Oxford and surrounding areas will be monitored and progressed through two community-based groups – the Oxford Health Provider Alliance and the Oxford Community Health Advisory Group. These two groups supported by Pegasus Health’s Rural Health Manager, will provide leadership to ongoing improvement in the community’s access to health services. (More about this here.)

The Primary Care Capability Service Level Alliance (PCCSLA) is currently on hold for 12 months.

There also some key changes to group members, which are:

  • Dr Don Elder is the Alliance Leadership Team (ALT) Independent Chair.
  • Sandy Clemett has joined ALT providing a secondary / tertiary  clinical leader perspective.
  • Kiki Maoate has joined ALT providing a secondary / tertiary  clinical leader perspective.
  • Dr Greg Hamilton is on the Alliance Support Team.
  • Mary Gordon has resigned from her role as Chair on the Mental Health Workstream.
  • Michael McIlhone and Ngaire Button have taken over as co-Chairs of the Child & Youth Health Workstream.
  • Chair for the Laboratory Service Level Alliance (SLA) is now Janice Donaldson.
  • Jules Wilke is now Facilitator for the Ashburton SLA, with Heidee Harris now Project Manager for Te Tumu Waiora.
  • Shelley McCabe is Clinical Leader for Te Tumu Waiora.

These changes are reflected in the updated personnel and structure diagram on the CCN website under ‘Resources’ and ‘Structure’.
