Join the team - Kaiwhakahaere waitara / Project facilitator

CCN is currently advertising for a Kaiwhakahaere waitara / Project facilitator. This role facilitates the work of Service Level Collaborative groups and manages a range of projects aimed at improving equitable access to healthcare.

This role also supports the Kaiwhakahaere Hauora Māori and Equity Lead in providing leadership, cultural knowledge, advice, and direction across CCN, including the application of matauranga Māori to facilitation of collaborative groups. 

CCN is a collaborative of health professionals, mana whenua, consumers, and cross sector partners working collaboratively to improve the hauora (health and wellbeing) of our communities from Kaikōura to Ashburton.

About the role 

We bring people together in forums to design equitable health services and make collective decisions about how, when and where services are delivered. In this role you will:

  • Facilitate the work of Service Level Collaborative (SLC) groups and manage a range of projects aimed at improving equitable access to healthcare. 
  • Support the Kaiwhakahaere Hauora Māori and Equity Lead in providing leadership, cultural knowledge, advice, and direction across CCN, including the application of matauranga Māori to facilitation of collaborative groups. 
  • Work in a collaborative way that reflects our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the application of its principles. 

Key attributes

This role would suit someone that is passionate about working collaboratively to facilitate improvements in access to healthcare and hauora. Essential attributes include: 

  • An understanding of tikanga Māori, particularly as it relates to hauora Māori.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a natural collaborator that can engage with and bring diverse groups of people together. 
  • An articulate and keen communicator.
  • Motivated by improving hauora of people and their whānau, keeping them at the centre of everything we do.
  • Able to handle ambiguity associated with rapidly changing environments. 
  • Takes a positive solution-oriented approach.
