Gavin Young swaps shared care plans for music career

Canterbury Clinical Network’s Technology Programme Manager for Shared Care Planning Gavin Young left early July to take up a Project Manager role with an international company call inMusic, which delivers hardware and software for musicians.

“Gavin has made a considerable contribution to the work of CCN and the wider health system over the last eight years,” says Acting Executive Director Linda Wensley.

This has included working with various services to streamline electronic pathways and models of care, notably for the Older Persons’ Health and Rehabilitation Community Teams and Community Pharmacy. He has also contributed to integration of various initiatives including the suite of Shared Care Plans.

“Alongside this Gavin has played an important role in advocating and advancing the system design and technical development of shared care plans to help improve access and visibility of information that benefits the health outcomes of our community,” says Linda.

“Gavin has been an amazing part of the CCN whānau. As well as his expertise, he has brought a great sense of humour and kindness to our team. As well as great chocolate and an interesting array of office paraphernalia and décor.”

Gavin will be missed by all the team but congratulate him on his new role and career path.
