An active member of Canterbury Clinical Network will be relocating to the West Coast in the New Year.

Ginny Brailsford is following husband Pete, as he takes up the role of Deputy Principal at Westland High School in Hokitika.

A pharmacist by profession, Ginny became involved with CCN in 2009 when she joined the multidisciplinary Primary Care Liaison Team.

Since then, she’s provided pharmacy, older person’s health and primary care liaison perspectives across Canterbury Clinical Network, including the Pharmacy Service Level Alliance (SLA), Community Services SLA, Urgent Care SLA, Integrated Diabetes Service Operations Group and is the current Chair and Clinical Lead of the Health of Older People Workstream (HOPWS).

She’s also been actively involved with the work around Standing Orders the development of the Medication Management Service.

Ginny has enjoyed working across Canterbury Health System, and says she’s keen to continue support for transalpine developments.

“I’ve really appreciated being involved with so many positive transformations across Canterbury and I’m exploring opportunities which will allow me to use my skills to benefit patients. I’d like to stay involved in service development and strategic leadership, and keep up my clinical skills… so if anyone knows of any gaps, let me know!”

Ginny will finish work on the HOPWS 2018/19 workplan to hand over to the new Chair, who will be appointed via the CCN’s standard expression of interest process.

Ginny’s husband starts his role at the end of January and Ginny will join him before the end of March 2018. Please join us in wishing Ginny well in with her move and future endeavours.
