Key Messages - December 2019
The Hurunui Health Service Development Group (HHSDG) met in Amberley on the 11th December 2019 to continue leading changes to improve the Hurunui community’s access to sustainable health services. Updates on progress in the following areas of work were provided at the meeting. In addition:
- The HHSDG continued review of the implementation plan linked to the Model of Care recommendations, reflecting on progress, identify challenges and opportunities to focus our approach for 2020.
- Working Groups are continuing in the areas of enhanced after-hours services, local observation services and restorative care. The Rural Health Workstream has been identified to lead the system-wide opportunities for improving and increasing the availability of telehealth for people in the region, for both patients and clinician benefit.
The next HHSDG meeting is scheduled for the 19 February 2020.
